weeds are pretty part two

We went on a walk the other night just after it had rained. I decided to do another version of weeds, this time with a different camera. Last time I used film, see here. This time, all digital. I love them both for different reasons.

There were so many more that I took, but it started to look really repetitive after a while. I'm not sure why some look more saturated than others, because other than slight levels adjustments - these are all straight out of camera.

I decided that I like shooting senior portraits... a lot. With a girl this hip and fun, you really can't go wrong.

This beach was amazing. It had purple sand (as you can see) and wasn't too crowded. We were told to visit it while driving down the coast on highway one.. which was the prettiest drive ever.

I just got back in town tonight from California - and I just had to post a quick thank you to everyone who voted and helped me get votes for the Italy video. David and I were both so excited and overwhelmed with all the help and support that we got. It felt really good to see how many people stepped in to help us out and rally up votes for us.

Thanks to everyone for posting on their blogs, sending out emails, telling friends.. etc. Although we didn't win (dang it!) - we had a lot of fun getting updates throughout the day and checking the polls. We had limited internet access during our trip - but whenever we got the chance it was so fun to see how far it had gone and I was blown away with how many votes we ended up getting!

We decided to make that video last minute (literally last minute while packing to leave town the next day) -and I didn't expect it to be as big as it got. So thank you, thank you to everyone! It was really a big roller coaster of a weekend.

I'll be posting photos from my trip soon...


OH - and if you have emailed me lately and I haven't responded - I'm sorry! I haven't had internet all weekend. I will try to reply to all my emails within the next day or so.

Me plus Italy - Please Help!
