winter break

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. We have been very preoccupied with the holidays, sick babies, snow, snow, and more snow.

Until things start to pick up around here, enjoy Violet in her winter get-up!

This shoot was completely just for fun. I asked this beautiful bride to come model for me because I was inspired by her unique dress and style.

I really appreciate her for being more than willing to work with me. She is quite the photographer herself and also a great hair stylist. Thanks Sarah :)

obsession

Every morning and after every nap violet will throw both blankies (yes she has two, and is that a word?) onto the floor to quickly retrieve them once she wiggles out of my arms. Then she'll go about carrying them around the house, one in each hand.

I never got attached to a baby blanket when I was little, so maybe she's making up for it by having two...

Here she is completely mesmerized by the glow of the Christmas tree. I think this year she is starting to realize that Christmas is definately a good thing.
