Chi-ca-go!

This last weekend I went to Chicago for a girls trip and it was so much fun.

Most of these photos are from the architecture boat tour, and so naturally there are a lot of buildings. The theme seemed to be reflections on this trip. We ate a lot of good food, shopped till we dropped, and even made it to a good old fashioned Cubs game. What a blast.

I am really beginning to like the windy city.

Okay, so we've never hired a photographer to do pictures before (not even for our wedding - for shame!) so we decided it was high time and hired Jonathan Canlas to do our family pictures and we couldn't be happier with them. So worth the splurge... there's no way we could have captured these amazing shots on our own.

old work, new scans

I've been going through some old negatives and getting them re-scanned for archiving. I can't believe the difference in quality of a good scan compared to my old versions.

So, I thought I'd share a few I brought back from the dead...

Good old trusty K-mart can always pull through as long as they keep their photo booths.

The last frame was ruined in all of them, but I kind of like the effect...



*these were taken at the photo booth in Logan, I'm not sure if every K-mart has one... but I know of a few that do. also, I'm not sure why I'm pulling faces in all of these...I'm much more comfortable behind the lens

spring fun part 1

we went to Logan this weekend {ahh sigh} and enjoyed some time with friends and mostly watched the kids play in the sprinklers -- which was, of course, the perfect photo op for me :)
