I cannot wait until the leaves start looking more green. Although there is beauty in the winter... I don't think I've ever been so anxious for spring to come.

Thank you everyone who voted, supported, and helped spread the word for the Mexico workshop scholarship. I think the best part of this whole experience was creating the video with my husband, David. He is to thank for editing it for me and helping film it. We put our heads together and I had some last minute inspiration that helped, and somehow we pulled it off. I am happy to be married to someone who is so supportive and willing to help me (even if it means taking his lunch break to film, and all night to edit while I boss him around :). Also, I don't know if you've heard the good news HERE. I can't even explain how happy and humbled I am to have this amazing opportunity, especially when ALL the videos were so creative and equally deserving of this prize.

Thanks again everyone, and three cheers to Mexico!!

I have an amazing opportunity to go to workshop in Mexico - all expenses paid - IF I get enough votes on a video I submitted to Jose Villa's scholarship program for his Mexico workshop. I was able to make the top four videos (yay!) - but need to get the most votes to win.

toes. this is why I haven't been blogging much lately. well that, and the fact that I haven't really picked up my camera lately either. we are ecstatic to be having a new little one this June. will it be blue or pink? we don't know, but come June - we will find out :)

It's always this time of year when winter sets in, the holidays are over, and everything seems to move a little slower that I feel sort of uninspired and in a rut. I hardly ever pull out my camera anymore, but today I decided to break it out and take a few of v, and these cheered me up.

The image on the top left is the face she pulled when I asked her to "show me your teeth". I don't know where she gets it :)

a beautiful classic fall wedding post is a nice way to finish up the year, right? Remember this couple's engagements? There's something vintage and classic about their style that I really love. I shot a lot of black and white film for this wedding and I am so happy that I did.
